Our Vision.

Montessori East employs the educational principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator.  Dr. Montessori developed a program designed to foster in each child the growth of a self-disciplined, confident individual able to contribute significantly to society by fulfilling his or her highest potential.  Dr. Montessori’s holistic approach to education fosters joy, intelligence, independence and self-confidence. With personal respect for each child and a sincere dedication to his or her potential, our certified lead guides help establish a lifelong love of learning and a sense of belonging in a diverse community that represents our neighborhood and city. Love, a multicultural approach, collaboration, practical life skills and academic growth are cornerstones of our school.

Our multi-age classrooms encourage leadership, cooperation, tolerance, community and respect for different levels and stages of learning as well as our human differences.  Montessori East’s prepared environments allow the child’s natural curiosity and innate talents to blossom at his or her own pace, making learning fatigue-free and fun.
