It integrates academic, social and leadership skills in a beautiful environment that is designed to be interesting to the children it empowers. Each lesson is given individually enabling each child to learn at their own pace. Montessori combines freedom and structure in an ingenius way that empowers the child. The teachers are highly trained and accredited.

Description from an article on Montessori:

...“This emphasis on “absorbent”, fatigue-free learning is a key element in the Montessori Method, a 100 year old method of teaching whereby each child’s personal curriculum is specifically designed to meet their particular needs. This is done by presenting lessons individually and allowing a child to further explore the lesson using self-correcting, specially designed materials.

Based on the skills and interest of each child, we allow the child to choose his own work and work at his own pace. In many instances, this allows for much faster learning which gives Montessori its worldwide reputation for academic excellence.

But Montessori is more than reading and multiplication, it empowers the student in many ways: it gives a child the self confidence to succeed not only in the classroom but later in life; it teaches that we are all different but all equal, that there are peaceful ways we can solve problems and that we all belong in this world.” -MJM Academy Press Release, 2008
